  • [ AMBER ] --> HIGH: High Risk of Slapstick Injury.

  • [ RED ] --> CRITICAL: The Snacks are Gone.

Delta Lake State Park — The Danger Girls Bureau of Safety and Overreaction (DGBSO) has officially updated the current domestic advisory level. Due to recent activity involving rogue terrain and aggressive wildlife, we are currently resting at a solid AMBER (Level 3).

Please review the official threat matrix below to see what each level means for the expedition team:

🟢 LEVEL GREEN: Couch Potato Operational Status

  • Threat Level: Low / Non-Existent.

  • Operational Parameters: The Danger Girls are currently inside, within arm's reach of a television remote and a reliable power outlet.

  • Primary Hazards: Netflix decision paralysis; potential roof leak if it rains; cat hair on black pants.

  • Required Gear: Sweatpants, a cozy blanket, and Gracie patrolling the perimeter for dust bunnies.

🟡 LEVEL YELLOW: Nature is Looking at Us Weird

  • Threat Level: Elevated / Caution Advised.

  • Operational Parameters: The truck has left the driveway. We are in transit or on a well-paved path that technically has a gift shop nearby.

  • Primary Hazards: The sun (high risk of looking like a lobster); aggressive mosquitoes; local flora that looks fuzzy but is actually sharp.

  • Required Gear: SPF 50, bug spray we forgot to pack, and a slight sense of direction.

🟠 LEVEL AMBER: High Risk of Slapstick Injury

  • Threat Level: High / Imminent Clumsiness.

  • Operational Parameters: We are actively "adventuring." As I mutter the words, "Hey, look at that" or "Let's take a shortcut."

  • Primary Hazards: Stationary rocks; tree roots acting as tripwires; screen doors with high-tension springs; wild turkeys forming a union.

  • Required Gear: A fully stocked first-aid kit containing mostly colorful band-aids, ice packs, and a companion ready to document the incident for the 100 Injury Club.

🔴 LEVEL RED: CODE EMERGENCY

  • Threat Level: Critical / Total System Collapse.

  • Operational Parameters: High-altitude airborne camping or absolute resource depletion.

  • Primary Hazards: The snacks are completely gone. Alternatively: The tent has achieved flight status, or the GPS has successfully locked us in a time loop inside a cornfield.

  • Required Gear: Panic. Tactical retreat protocols. Calling a family member to come pick us up from a tractor barn.

Current Situation Report: We are staying at AMBER because my shoelaces are currently tied, but we are entering a wooded area. Keep your eyes open, watch your step, and if you see a turkey, do not make eye contact.
